Flying around Taylor

Here's a new video I made from a flight with Jim mid-February, when the sun came out briefly after several weeks of dismal weather. One day of warmth, and then back to the grey and cold. As I write these words, it is actually snowing outside!

So the airwaves were busy, as half of Texas got airborne... in fact we just missed seeing Charlie, who stopped in to Taylor for fuel and left just before we got back.

Finding a quiet frequency so we could talk was a challenge at times - Jim's radio overrides any in-cockpit conversation. However it was, as always, a lot of fun.

We got to play with my new video camera - Alan gave me a Sanyo Xacti HD2000 for Christmas, and this is the first chance I've had to use it in an aeroplane. I've got some plans on how to steady it a little for next time, and also how to contain all the different parts (lenses etc) in the confined space of the cockpit. It's all a learning experience!
