Breakfast in Fredericksburg

Back in March, Jim and I took an early morning flight from Taylor to Fredericksburg. It was glorious weather. We took a course that led us to Burnet, turned left over the airfield there and headed southwest to T82.

Upon arrival, it seemed like half of Texas had the same thought - go for breakfast on this fine Sunday morning! The airfield was busier than I've ever seen it - although to be fair, it has been my misfortune to have only seen the airfield on days with lousy weather, prior to this.

All the pilots were in the Airfield Diner, which is a fabulous 50's-style diner, with proper chrome barstools and shiny vinyl bench seats. We enjoyed a great breakfast there whilst watching the activity on the ramp outside.

Once replete, we climbed back into the aeroplane and headed back to Taylor. A great morning. Thanks, Jim!
